Honors:

Selected in 1991 by the County Executive and ratified by the County Council to serve on the Commission on Common Ownership Communities. This is a quasi judicial and advisory panel reporting to the Executive Branch of the County Government. He served the maximum allowable two, three year, terms on the Commission. The Commission was one of the first in the nation to be created to address the needs of homeowner and condominium associations.


Professional Experience:

Real Estate License, since 1968 and a Maryland Broker's License since 1985. Member of CAI, with a AMS designation, attends continuing educational seminars.

1973 - 1978 From an entry level position as an insurance adjuster, specializing in property claims, he advanced to the Claims Supervisor for the National Flood Insurers Association. Position entailed direct and indirect supervision of flood claims through the U.S.

1978 - 1979 He joined a firm which managed multi family and a large number of single family homes. Within four months, he was given full responsibility over the management and rental of the single family portfolio.

1979 Present Abaris Realty, Inc, from a small company with under one hundred units to over one thousand within six months, Abaris Realty has continued to grow to its present size of management contracts for over one hundred communities, with nearly ten thousand owners. Mr. Blumberg, as Executive Vice President has coordinated the operations of the company as well as managed a large portfolio of associations. He has keep abreast of the tremendous changes in the industry, and therefore has become well respected for his knowledge and experience.
